Divine Providence

“I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brethren” (Genesis 24:27).

In this chapter of Genesis, we discover how Abraham (through his servant) obtained a bride (Rebekah) for his son Isaac. Isaac learned the valuable lessons of followship. The servant learned a valuable lesson of faith, as well, through his obedience to his authority as he waited for God to “show up”. Are you being obedient today? Are you looking for fresh awareness of God’s presence along your path today? Listen to today’s video blog by Benjamin Burks…

Today’s Thought:
Obedience is mocked by the world, but obedience is the key to so many blessings-and a choice blessing is Divine providence.

Anybody can start, what does it take to stop you?

“There was a famine in the land; and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there” (Genesis 12:10).

Shortly after Abraham had arrived in Canaan, the place where God had told him to go, a famine came. When you encounter a famine in the place where God has sent you, it is a real test of your faith! One preacher said “Don’t undo in doubt the decision you made in faith”. Another said “Don’t undo in the dark the decisions you made in the light”.

Are you facing some famine in your life today?? Are you needing to remember those decisions you made in faith? Watch today’s video blog by Benjamin Burks….

Today’s Thought:
Nothing challenges our obedience to God like hard times. Many will obey God in good times, but “hard times” is a totally different story. Obedience must be unconditional. It is faithfulness or failure. God’s Word, not famines, should determine obedience!
